Lieven Vervecken, CEO of Diabatix, will present a pioneering approach to thermal management design at the upcoming NAFEMS DACH Regional Conference in Bamberg. His presentation, scheduled for June 11th at 15h, is titled "Design of Cooling Components Through the Combination of Implicit Modeling and Topology Optimization."

In his talk, Vervecken will explore how topology optimization and implicit modeling can be integrated into the design of cooling components. Topology optimization is used to optimally distribute material within a design space to enhance performance, while implicit modeling allows for the automated creation of complex geometries directly from computational data. This combination facilitates the improvement of structures like gyroids—known for their optimal surface area-to-volume ratios—which are essential in high-efficiency cooling systems. The session will highlight case studies to demonstrate the improvements in cooling component design and functionality that can be achieved through this methodology.

This presentation is part of a broader conference agenda focusing on the latest trends and innovations in computational analysis and simulation in engineering, featuring expert presentations from leading organizations and researchers. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of engineering.
